I am not sure who or what this flying creature is but I stayed far, far away. He/she was also enjoying the nectar from the purple flowers at Alderfer-Oenslager Wildlife Sanctuary.

Yellow waterlilies do live at the Alderfer-Oenslager Wildlife Sanctuary, they were not in bloom when I was there two weeks ago.

Alright, so Mr. Rimsky-Korsakov is not really purple. He is drinking the nectar from this beautiful purple flower that resides among the pink, white and yellow waterlilies.
