Reddish Leaves Among The Snow

Over the weekend, we got fluffy, powdery snow on Saturday, then Sunday, we got wet, heavy Lake Effect Snow. We got 7 inches of powder; however, I have not gone out today to measure the new total snow amount.

The reddish leaves in the woods look beautiful contrasted with the snow.

Then and Now

A few weeks ago, I posted this picture taken while waiting for my steak, egg, and cheese bagel (after church treat).

Well, here is the same view taken yesterday from a slightly different angle.

Winds were at 20-30 mph with 40 mph gusts. I expected them to roll away like tumbleweeds due to them being dry and brittle.

One Week Ago

A week ago today, the first snow of the season blanketed my little corner of the world.

By the weekend, it was all gone. My world was green again.

I consider this snowstorm a warning shot from God, a reminder that winter is coming. A call to stock up on meat, canned goods, and of course, toilet paper. Because the less time spent driving in snowstorms, the better.
