31 Hot August Ohio Nights

When I last published, it was April and we had a snowstorm that bent my neighbor’s lilac. Now here it is August with 80 degree days and nights. This series is inspired by Neil Diamond’s song Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show. It begins “Hot August night with the leaves hanging down and the grass on the ground smelling sweet.”

Every evening in August, I will publish a scene of Ohio’s hot august nights. The pictures will be taken at various locations through out Ohio. The series is also running on Instagram (MichelesJoy) but the pictures there will be different from here…with today’s post being the only exception as the gate marks the beginning of our journey both here and on Instagram.

Enjoy!

Neighbor’s Lilac 4/7/17

Yes, this really was Friday. The wet, heavy snow caused part of the lilac to fall over my fence. Today I will be wearing sandals to church in 70 degree weather. Welcome to Spring in Northeast Ohio!

This is a picture of the entire park close to home. It was taken the same day as the prior picture.
