What a surprise to find purple blooms on my bush instead of the white ones from a few weeks ago. I took some pictures around my yard today and will share the best ones this week.
Abstract Turtle
While sitting at the picnic table at the pond, I spotted something on these branches. It looks like a little turtle. At first, I thought it was maybe an egg but later on, I looked and it was not there. It was not until I got home and started post-processing pictures that I decided it looks like a turtle among all the twisted and arching branches.

Blue Among the Beige
While there was a lot of beige at the sanctuary, there was also a lovely blue sky beautifully reflected in the water.
Before we know it, the water will be surrounded by greenery instead of all the beige. Check out The Plane Arrives post from last summer to see what it will look like in a month or so.
