Capturing A Sunset

Two weeks ago was “Capture the Sunset Week” according to a holiday calendar my co-work found online. So we decided to put this in our weekly newsletter and create a photo contest at work. This was the best shot I got. Every where I went, trees were in the way. I even tried at a local lake to see if I could get trees and sunset but it did not work. So I just submitted this one. It did not win and that’s alright.

A May Morning in Northeast Ohio

This is the woods behind my house this morning. Taken at 8 a.m. This photo is raw, no editing tool was used. I uploaded it straight from my camera. However, what amazes me is even though the predominant color is white, followed by brown, then grey, the WordPress theme I used picked out green as the background. In a dark and dreary picture, it found life. May we find life in the dark and dreariness of our lives. Amen.

Day 41 – Stay @ Home Finale – LIFTOFF!!!

Today ends the Stay @ Home series. It’s May 1st and time to lift off this economy! Thank you for your support, it is greatly appreciated. This balloon was leisurely floating through my neighborhood back in 2011 and for awhile it was the header for my first blog – JoyReturns.
