Stepped outside into a balmy 40-degree day at 8:45 this morning and listened to the birds singing, the woodpecker’s rat-a-tat-tat and watched Mr. Blue Jay and friends fly around the woods.

The streaks of snow you see coming down is from Round 2 – Lake Effect Snow. The first round hit most of Ohio with 6 -12 inches or more. I have at least a foot of snow in the backyard. Will try to measure it later.

This was taken at lunch today – about 2:15ish. There are lots of tiny snowflakes but they sure are piling up. This has been going strong since about 10:40 a.m. This is also why I have a yellow shed.
